29th of May 2024 is a memorable day for the recognition of the work of our organisation.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Her Excellency Mrs. Andrea Ikić-Böhm, gathered for lunch at the Embassy's residence the members of the Board of Bridges, members of the Board of the National Council of Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB) and partners with whom we have worked on various projects over the years.

The luncheon was on the occasion of the awarding of the First King Abdullah II Award for the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week 2024 to BRIDGES for the art-performance "Gift of Love", which took place on 9 February 2024 at the Episcopal Basilica in Plovdiv during the World Interfaith Harmony Week.

We would like to thank Her Excellency Ambassador Andrea Ikić-Böhm and the Embassy team for their hospitality, partnership and readiness for future joint projects! The cake with a bridge was a special gift for us from the Embassy's chef cook. For us, the Bridges team: Angelina Vladikova, Dr. Peter Gramatikov, Svetlana Karadzhova, Sylvia Trifonova, it was an honor to be together with Robert Gerassi, President of the NCROB, Greta Ganeva, representative of the Protestant Community in the NSROB, Mons. Petko Valov, Bishop of the Diocese of St. John XXIII for Eastern Rite Catholics and member of the NCROB, Hairi A. Emin, representative of the General Muftiate and the NSROB, the District Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli and Dr. Arif Abdullah, lecturer at the Higher Islamic Institute and Snezhana Yoveva-Dimitrova, Director of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The lunch was the starting point for future interfaith collaborations and common actions for a better world for all.
