Eastern European Forum for Dialogue - BRIDGES

Create contacts

with men and women of different religious communities in Bulgaria and in Eastern European countries.

Promote tolerance

and equality between men and women in the professional domain, especially in the Theological domain – Teaching and Research.

We are
an NGO that brings together people of faith
from different religious traditions.

Angelina Vladikova

Kalina and Boris

Professional photographers, members of BRIDGES.
Kalina is an Eastern Orthodox Christian and Boris is a Roman Catholic. Isn’t it magical to capture an emotion within a four-sided frame? It is even more exciting when your shot makes others ponder, ask questions, search, dream... And it’s a rewarding experience when you see your photos’ ability to bring out the good in people. That’s us – ordinary storytellers, using pictures.

Petar Gramatikoff

Vice President of BRIDGES.
Mr. Gramatikoff is a hierodeacon of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and Doctor of the Universal Orthodox Church. He is currently the Chief Expert in religious questions in the municipality of Plovdiv. He has been working for years in the field of human rights, defending the traditional view of Orthodox church in terms of respect for all beliefs, beside all theological conceptions.

Laura Farooq Sani

BRIDGES - Youth leader
I consider myself a Muslim, born in Bulgaria. Studied Islamic theology, but that does not depict the full spectrum of my interests. I am fond of topics related to discrimination, religious dialogue, psychology and social inclusion. We should act as the change we would like to see around us. Simply being the change is not enough. Taking bold steps to inspire others and navigate them throughout the process is what counts.

Svetlana Karadzhova

Board of Trustees of BRIDGES.
Svetlana is a Roman Catholic. Linguist by education, loves writing and overcoming great challenges. Lives by the principle "Think globally, act locally", full of enthusiasm to realize interesting ideas in the communities she belongs to. Skilled in transforming public response into good PR, thus creating opportunities for future initiatives.
